MIKROLATEST – Antimicrobial Susceptibility (MIC)

The MIKROLATEST MIC kit range is intended for the accurate determination of the minimum inhibitory concentration of an antimicrobial agent (antibiotic) that inhibits the visible growth of bacteria. It is a microdilution method based on the rehydration of antibiotics in wells using suspension medium and the addition of a bacterial suspension. Each kit contains 10 determinations, each consisting of 12 antibiotics in 8 concentrations and including a growth control. Due to their high stability, all kits have an 18-month shelf life and can be stored at 2–8 °C.
 
In addition to the kits, the range includes suspension media intended for individual kit types and supplementary products for convenient inoculation.
 
We also offer MIC monostrip kits – single-antibiotic kits that enable the selection of an antibiotic panel or the supplementation of existing MIC kits. One package contains 36 determinations. Each determination contains 7 antibiotic concentrations and one growth control.
