MIKROLA II - reader + software

Last update: 07.09.2026, 09:28:49
Automation in identification represents a significant step towards the standardisation, acceleration and increased efficiency of work in microbiology laboratories. Therefore, in addition to standardised MIKROLATEST® identification kits, Erba Lachema also offers a semi-automated system for objective, instrument-based biochemical microbial identification in routine practice. The system meets the needs and requirements of microbiology laboratories at different levels. It strictly observes the requirements for workflow standardisation at every step, as a prerequisite for reliable and reproducible results.

The system consists of::

ErbaScan Reader
The instrument is used for objective and standard reading of results from all available MIKROLATEST biochemical kits and MIC kits.

It is characterised by the reliability and reproducibility of the obtained data.

It automatically recognises the number and positions of analysed tests in the plate. It is suitable for both research and routine laboratory use.

INSTRUMENT AND ACCESSORIES

DENSI-LA-METER® II

An instrument for determining bacterial inoculum density. DENSI-LA-METER® II is a very simple optical instrument specifically designed for the convenient and rapid determination of microbial density, as an essential initial standardisation step in microbial identification, antimicrobial susceptibility testing and other applications. The instrument operates on the principle of optical absorbance measurement and displays the measured values directly in McFarland units. Its unique feature is the ability to perform six measurements in a single operation, eliminating potential differences between measuring tubes. The instrument enables measurement of solution turbidity over a wide range (0.3–15.0 McF). DENSI-LA-METER® II contains two preset calibrations: STANDARD for sterile disposable plastic tubes supplied with the instrument, and USER for NAF glass tubes in which suspension media are supplied.
