Densi-La-Meter® II is a simple optical instrument specifically designed for the convenient and rapid determination of microbial suspension density.

Enables standardisation of microbial inoculum, for example during microbial identification or antimicrobial susceptibility testing. - Operates on the principle of optical absorbance measurement and displays measured values directly in McFarland units.
- Enables measurement of solution turbidity in the range of 0.3–15.0 McFarland units.
- Its unique feature is the ability to perform six measurements in a single operation, eliminating potential differences between measuring tubes and displaying the arithmetic mean of the measured values.
- Designed for a standard tube diameter of 16 mm; however, tubes with diameters from 15 to 18.5 mm can be used with a minimum microbial suspension volume of 2 ml.

In addition to standard calibration for polystyrene tubes, the instrument is calibrated for NAF glass tubes, in which suspension media are currently supplied. It also enables customer calibration instead of NAF calibration.
