The LAURA XL analyser is designed for in vitro semi-quantitative urine analysis using PHAN® Auto diagnostic test strips and for urine sediment assessment by automated microscopy.
Result evaluation is based on image analysis of colour changes in individual diagnostic test strip pads and on the analysis of urine sediment particles using pre-programmed classifiers and neural networks. Full automation is ensured by an intuitive transport system, automatic urine sample homogenisation and dispensing, sample processing and evaluation, and optional storage or transfer of results to the LIS. Operation of the LAURA XL analyser is facilitated by a user-friendly LCD screen with an intuitive user interface.
