Self-monitoring

A dedicated product group is designed specifically for patients to monitor their treatment through self-testing. Test strips for people with diabetes are intended to monitor two key analytes: glucose and ketones. Glucose is a normal component of urine; increased urinary glucose excretion is an indicative sign of diabetes.

Ketones are the second monitored component. Their detection in urine is important for the early identification of significant metabolic changes. The DIAPHAN^® FOR SELF-TESTING test strip is designed for the determination of both glucose and ketones.

Self-testing products are characterised by a simple testing procedure, clear instructions for use and ease of use.
